Trying to come up with something new and unique every time is tricky, but I like to do it if I can. Anyway, I decided that, this time, since we're really celebrating me, and since today is my birthday to do give both of us presents. Here's the deal: there will be three winners, one for each event, although combined into a single rafflecopter. The winner will choose one of the following books, and I will buy a copy for you AND one for me. These are all books I have been wanting to buy for myself but haven't yet, nor have I read any of them. Help me choose what present to get! Oh, and, if you want to give me a present, now you know what I want. ;)
If you're not sure what a book is or want more info, click on the cover. That will take you to Goodreads for book stalking purposes. Also, I realize I went a little crazy, but you know how I love me some books. Besides, people like choices, right?
The books will be coming from an internet store, so as long as TBD or Amazon or Fishpond (Australian folks) ships to you, you're golden. INTERNATIONAL, YO! Also, I'm not making any hoops to jump through on this giveaway, but following and tweeting to drum up awareness are super appreciated.
Now just fill out THIS FORM to enter. Giveaway closes at the end of the month.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOGOVERSARY AND YAY FOR SO MANY FOLLOWERS!!! <--- See that, I'm excited for you ;-) But seriously, your blog rocks and I love coming by everyday. I love that we can agree to disagree in a you know.. healthy way! Congrats chick!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thanks so much! And I love disagreeing with you too! ;)
DeleteAw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to celebrate all those happy events :o)
Hope your day is filled with fun and bookish goodness!
Thanks! I did get a bunch of books for my birthday!
DeleteAAAAAAA!!! Happy birthday, Christina!!! May all your dearest wishes come true! *hugs* Happy blogoversary and 500+ followers, may you have many more and enjoy blogging for a long long time (hopefully after 12.21.12 as we are all waiting for the end of the world NOT to happen LOL)
ReplyDelete*throws confetti and various sweets at aforementioned birthday girl*
Hahah, well, I probably will stop blogging if the world ends, but certainly not out of my own volition!
DeleteHappy b-day again! Congratulations on getting 500 followers!
ReplyDeleteI loved Before I Die, but it's a big tearjerker. By the time I got to the ending, I was crying so hard I couldn't see the words on the page.
How It Ends made me cry, too. I'm not sure why, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous books from the same author - Such a Pretty Girl and Leftovers.
On the other hand, I found Ruby Red (the whole series, actually; it's out already in Italian) fun and entertaining. I suppose the story could appear juvenile to adult readers. The main character is 16, a bit silly, and carefree. I liked it, as in books from US/Canadian authors teenagers always seem to grow up so fast.
I really like the depressing realistic fiction these days, so that's why Before I Die and How It Ends are on my list. Hmmm, maybe I'll swap it for Such a Pretty Girl if that one's chosen. Haha.
DeleteMost of these are depressing, but I threw in a couple of others for fun. :-p
Uhm. I've realized I actually know why I couldn't really appreciate How It Ends as much as Wiess's previous books. Let's say part of the plot triggered painful memories, and it hurt.
DeleteOh dear! I'm so sorry about that. I wish no one could identify with these gritty contemporaries. :(
DeleteHappy blogoversary and happy birthday! Our birthdays are exactly 7 days apart (mine was last Friday). I knew we got along great for a reason. :D
ReplyDeleteFantastic giveaway! The only books I've read up there are "Anna and the French Kiss" and "Eon". I highly recommend Anna. It's one of my faves. :) Eon was pretty good also. It helped me appreciate epic fantasy a bit more and I loved the world-building. There are several there on my TBR too. ^^
Hope you have a fantastic birthday. :D

Woo! Birthdays!
DeleteGlad you enjoyed the ones you've read. These are mostly books I've seen lauded everywhere and thus REALLY want.
*HUGE HUGS* & Happy Birthday, Christina!! <3
ReplyDeleteI still am awed and amazed by how you manage to keep up and do all that you do (you must have super powers you won't admit to lol)(can I has a bat mobile?) - no wonder you've got 500 followers, girl! O-O
Anyhoo, nerdy me hasn't read any of those yummy books you've got pictured, so I dunno.
Now, go have an epic birthday and EAT LOTS OF CHOCOLATE CAKE - because birthday cakes automatically are calorie free (a little known rule of physics heh heh) ;D
Mary DeBorde M.A.D.
No superpowers, sadly. I WISH!
DeleteMy cake was vanilla. Sorry to disappoint! But it had blue frosting!
What a cool idea! I'm glad you have so many happy events right now, and you know I have NO problem helping you pick out books :)
ReplyDeleteNope. You are totally a book-buying enabler. But so am I. :-p
DeleteWow! What an epic amount of milestones all at once! Happy birthday to you AND happy blogoversary AND congrats on reaching the big 5-0-0!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and Happy 500 Followers/Bloggaversary!

ReplyDeleteNow I'm going to petition everyone that enters to choose Forbidden so you can FINALLY read it ;-)
Have a fabulicious birthday!
I totally think I heard that. You can really belt it out.
DeleteYou make me want to read it SO MUCH. I heard that it makes you want to root for them and it HURTS because you know you can't. O_O
Happy blogoversary, birthday, and 500 followers! I'm about to send you a prezzie as we speak from the above wish list! :-D
ReplyDelete*HUGS*
DeleteHappy Birthday and congratulations on 500 followers! ;)
ReplyDeleteJellicoe Road, Eon and Angellfall are some of my top favorite books! I've heard many good things about Tiger Lily and The Lost Girl too. ;)
This means I chose well! Hurrah!
DeleteI've just finished The Lost Girl and it was good!
DeleteP.S. About depressing realistic fiction, try Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.
500 followers! Wow. So amazing, Christina! I hope you had a wonderful birthday! Thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun times!
DeleteYAY! HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY...and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOU OLD PERSON!
ReplyDeleteMuhahahaha, I like deciding your fate! Though I do wish Insurgent was on this list, I would love to hear your thoughts on it. SO WE CAN FLIP TABLES TOGETHER...or if you end up loving it...I will just stare at you and wonder how it could be possible.
Lilian @ A Novel Toybox
I'M NOT GOING TO BUY INSURGENT FOR ANY REASON. WELL, MAYBE IF I SAW IT AT GOODWILL, BUT PROBABLY NOT EVEN THEN.
DeleteI don't think loving it is a concern.
WHEW! WHAT A RELIEF.
DeleteI saw it at Barnes and Noble's Bestseller section and I wanted to just swipe them all away.
On the other hand, I found out the Barnes and Nobles here LOVES to put up new books before their release date. I am not sure if that's a good thing or not.
Happy Birthday and Happy 500 Followers/Bloggaversary!
ReplyDeletei really liked gone gone gone . hannah has a way w. words
