  1. Your kitty is adorable. :)
I just got the Eternity Cure too. I didn't care for her Iron Fey books either but this series is quite a bit better. Last month Orbit sent me something randomly too and even though it was book 1 I'm still not sure I'm going to get around to it. It's a huge one too! Aww.. that Libba Bray series is my all-time favorite. Have you read them all yet?
    Happy Reading!

    1. He is adorable!

Same here. I thought The Iron Fey was mostly just unfortunate, and was surprised how much I enjoyed this series. I feel so bad when they send me random stuff, because I pretty much never have the time to read it. Oh well. I've only read the first one, back in 2008. I didn't like it too much, but I've read and really liked other Bray stuff since, so I think maybe I missed something or was messed up by expectations. I want to try again.

  2. The cat wins everything! So cute. And the books, yay, the books! I didn't enjoy The Grimm Legacy as much. I remember the main character's way of asking questions all the time driving me absolutely nuts. All the others sound lovely! I'm a huge Jaclyn Moriarty fan so I'm hoping Corner of White is amazing. Here's hoping.

    1. He does. He's very popular with my readers.

Awww, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. I don't remember it as perfect or anything, but a really fun 3 or 3.5 star read. I wasn't rating back then, but that's my guess. I'm a REAL sucker for anything about fairy tales, though.

So far, A Corner of White is...something.

    1. I've heard it is, though the prose takes some adjusting to at first.

    1. I love Scarlet as well. I probably should have linked to my review. Sigh. I am so lazy.

  5. Your cat does exactly what mine does when I'm busy with things like READING and REVIEWING! I'm dying to read the End Game as well! The Eternity Cure, I'm told, is really amazing! Good luck and have fun reading!

  7. PERCYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Your cat is seriously about to KILL me with cute. I also didn't miss how he's eyeing your books.

Kagawa's Immortal Rules books are leagues and leagues better than her Iron Fey books if you ask me. A lot more "realistic" (as realistic as a vampire dystopia can be, but you know what I mean), no stupid MCs and love triangles, more twists and turns, etc. I'm pretty much whatever on the rest of your books, admittedly. :P

Also, funny Twilight Sparkle also gets a mention in this video... I came across something earlier this week about a man who honest-to-God believes he's engaged to Twilight Sparkle and asked another artist to stop making erotic art of her because she doesn't want to be portrayed that way. It's absolutely BATTY.

    1. I love his furry little face. He resents books, though, because they take so much of my attention. However, he's a good boy and doesn't attack them. He will stand between me and them or decide to nap on top of the ones I'm reading, though. Haha.

So much better than Iron Fey. That love triangle killed anything possibly good in those books for me.

      O_O WHAT? WHUUUUUUUUUT?

  8. Yep, I didn't like Iron Fey too, but The Immortal Rules worked for me really well. Percy is adorable as usual, Christina, and we like you rambling (I've just rambled too, I'm pretty sure)! :)Glad you are up to date on your Libba. I think I haven't read Going Bovine yet, but otherwise I'm almost there.

    Enjoy all your lovely reads!

    1. Percy is the cutest. He's also very sweet, because he doesn't put his claws out when he bats at me, so I can sort of roughhouse with him, like people do with dogs. He's very careful most of the time.

I've yet to read Going Bovine and the latter two Gemma books.

  9. The End Games was fantastic--I'm glad you ended up getting it! Note: the MC's voice and the writing style will probably take a bit to get used to. There's some odd slang and it's written in fragments, but once I got past that I really enjoyed everything else. And I got The Eternity Cure, too. Looking forward to it, but apparently there's a monster cliffhanger, so I'm scared.

    1. Yeah, I think I'm prepared for that aspect of The End Games. I'm going to give it some time to sway me.

Oh dear. Cliffhangers are okay, except that I always forget what happened and am super confused when the next book comes out.

  10. I cannot WAIT to read The End Games! It has been on my tbr since before there was ever a cover. And I just added Things to my unending tbr list, too. I was surprised that The Grimm Legacy wasn't already on there, but I wants it now, Precious! I've upped the amount of reading I'm doing and reviewing (since I can't do anything else), so I'll probably actually get around to reading it. Anywho, I'm glad you had a good week! :-D

    1. I'm very excited for The End Games, which was on my TBR pre-cover, but I got even more excited once I saw that beauty!

The Grimm Legacy isn't astoundingly good, but I thought it was a lot of fun, and OMG FAIRY TALE REFERENCES.

    2. *quivers* You have to let me know how awesome it is AS SOON AS YOU'RE DONE! :-D

I love some fairy tale references. I can even put up with filth as long as there are fairy tales. Ugh, now that I've said that, I'm going to end up with something bad...

    3. OKAY. It will be a while though. I'm running just before pub date with my reviews right now.

Ha, that's how I am too. Sort of. Anyway, I wouldn't say filth, but it was a bit childish.

  11. Even though I am not really a cat person, your cat pretty much rocks!! You got a lot of really awesome books this week!! Great book haul chick!!!

    1. Yay! I'm glad Percy is the coolest of cats. He's a bit doglike in some of his behaviors, actually. And he's bigger than some tiny dogs.

  12. Haul twins!

Like Amy, I am not a cat person either but Percy rocks.

I'm nervous about A Corner Of White as well.

I kind of want to try Far, Far Away.

It's also thrilling that you liked The Grimm Legacy and The Apothecary -- makes me look forward to them even more.

Also, no kidding about talking on and on with vlogs -- I do the same thing, but edit it out, lol. Like I try to edit my UMs out but end up missing a few. That's okay, I still love watching long vlogs.

    1. Percy does rock. Also, he is heavy like one. Fifteen to twenty pounds of cat. He's really muscular and dense.

I know nothing about Far Far Away, but I hope it's awesome.

Neither one was my fave ever, but they were both cute, fun reads.

Maybe some day I will try again to learn to edit.

  13. You and Percy are so cute in this video! :D

The Daria Snadowsky book covers look like the ones for the Uglies series my friend showed me earlier this week. *shivers* Scarlet was amazing! Great story and gorgeous cover! <3

    1. Thanks! We try. There was much primping beforehand. (There was not.)

Huh. I like the Snadowsky covers, even if they are a smidge creepy.

      LOVE Scarlet.

  14. Gosh, I love your cat. I hope I get to meet him someday so I can squeeze him. I love how he like made a fort out of that box, eyed your books, and batted at you with his paw. He's the CUTEST.

I'm reading A Corner of White Next. I know Jamie didn't like it, but Mandee from VeganYANerds loved it so I still have high hopes! Maybe i can start it today!

    1. Awww, I hope so, but I also hope he does not hiss at you, since he's been known to do so to strangers. He is the cutest though, with his big belly and giant eyes and ears.

So far it's really weird, and I'm not feeling the characters, but I'm waiting for SOMETHING to happen.
