  1. Can't wait to see what you think of The Elite. As one of the few bloggers I follow who will read Cass's books, I really look forward to your review. I never expected to like The Selection, but now I'm kind of hooked by it's cheesiness. And hopefully there's more dystopian-ness in the sequel.

    1. I know. I feel like a jerk for still being willing to read her books, but it's not like I'm likely to give a five star. Though, I have the feeling that if I really want to read something, I still will, asshole author aside. I won't pay for the book, though. Library or ARC only in that case.

I'm not holding my breath for more dystopian-ness, but we'll see.

  2. I doubt I'll ever read The Selection or The Elite, but sometimes those candy dystopians are just plain old fun to read - I felt the same about Matched.

    Enjoy :-D

    1. It's not even dystopian. It's The Bachelor, which used to be a guilty pleasure. DON'T JUDGE ME.

  3. The Shadow Girl does look so so good! I also need to read the Selection but I cannot wait to see what you think of the Elite!

  4. I really want to read The Elite and Taken, I've been looking forward to them for the longest time. I have The Elite at home, but I just haven't been able to get to it. I hope you enjoy all these boos! :)

    1. Sadly, I didn't like Taken, but I hope I like The Elite, at least in a guilty pleasure way.

  5. Percy! Aw, he makes me Sundays when he's in your videos. It makes me look forward to seeing my own cats again in a month.

The Wing in the Window looks super, super adorable. If it's really good, I'll consider getting a copy. MG is something I'm a bit pickier with. The Shadow Girl wasn't that enjoyable to read because the love triangle took over (and I'm worried the author hates me now because I made a really stupid mistake), but if you read it, maybe it will treat you a little better. Enjoy your candy overdose with The Elite!

Wait, there were issues with How to Lead a Life of Crime? I never heard about that. Weird. Need moar info!

    1. Ha, he doesn't really want to be in the videos, but I usually manage to force him. He's a pretty good sport about it.

It does look adorable, and I've heard good things. *crosses fingers*

The Shadow Girl is meh so far. I don't hate it, but I don't know that I like it. It's looking like a 2.5 star. Is that the thing where you got an age wrong? It didn't seem like a big deal.

  7. Percy is a chunk! He's so cute. My cat Binky is just as large but refuses to let me pick her up... she's a snot.

I just added The Wig in the Window to my TBR pile, it does look adorable. I can't help but love MG. That's strange about How to Lead a Life of Crime... this was the first I had heard of the final copy changes.

I'd never heard of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn but I did pick up One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich when I was on my 1001 Book kick. Haven't read it yet but will someday. :)

    1. Ha, Percy's got no choice but to be picked up. I've been tossing him around since he was a kitten and he's used to it. He's a bit of a chunk, but he's just big boned!

Woo! You should read it. Some of those 1001 are awful, but that one's really amazing.

  8. The Elite, huh? Did you read The Selection? (didn't watch the vlog because I'm in public) *searches through review index*

Yay, How to Lead a Life of Crime! I must check and see if my library has that. It sounds more like something I'd like than I otherwise suspected.

  12. The Wig in The Window looks really lovely, Christina! Very eclectic haul this week. And I kind of know what you're saying about The Selection but I still can't bring myself to read book #2 because I really disliked her main squeeze. He was such a self-absorbed jerk, I couldn't stand him ;) Enjoy all!

  13. OMG I want a copy of The Wig In the Window SO BADLY. You are lucky, lucky, lucky and I hope you enjoy it! I have had that on my Ammy wishlist for what seems like FOREVER.

Wait. What happened with How to Lead a Life of Crime? When you see this, DM me. I am desperate to know.

  14. The Wig in the Window looks so adorbs, really excited to hear about it. I didn't hear about them changing How to Lead a Life of Crime, that's very interesting...I'm going to have to go read up on that. Also my cat is also huge and likes to be held like that, so it's totally not torture. :P
