I got the audiobooks of Divergent and Insurgent too!! It was a fabulous surprise!! Also the playlist for This Song Will Save Your Life. I think that's the coolest swag I've ever gotten.

ReplyDeleteI hope you love Two Boys Kissing as much as Blythe did. OMG, Cat in an Alien Window. Hilarious. If you didn't like Divergent, I don't think you'll like Insurgent, even though I liked it better.
That playlist is pretty brilliant swag.

I really liked This Song Will Save Your Life, and it's super cool that they sent you a playlist :) I got excited every time I recognized lyrics in that book.
ReplyDeleteBahaha, Divergent. I did like Insurgent slightly better than its predecessor, but I had the same reaction to Divergent that you did, so take that with a grain of salt.

Sadly, I was working during pretty much all of the daylight hours, so no fun beachy things really.
Thats awesome they sent you a playlist for it. That's a great addition to listen to the book while you are reading it. Divergent was awesome. I still have to read Insurgent. Great haul of books. Come visit me as well. I'm now at Self-Hosted WP.

We shall see. Unless Tris has a major personality overhaul or everyone starts hating her or she dies, I don't think this will go well.

DeleteLOL, I love that you had zombie unicorns as your rating system last time. I actually ended up enjoying Divergent quite a bit, though Insurgent was a different story. Maybe the audio will be better? I haven't heard much about Two Boys Kissing, but I hope it's good, because it's DAVID LEVITHAN. I'm not his biggest fan, but I did enjoy Every Day, so I have high hopes for him.

DeleteSo far the audio is marginally better, but Insurgent feels like the same logicless mess with action to distract the reader from how awful it is. *coughs*

Or various related states.It's funny, I read Divergent and did enjoy it somewhat but wasn't so completely blown away like many... but I haven't read Insurgent and haven't really had any desire to do so. I've heard that it has a bit of 'middle-book-syndrome' too. I thought that maybe once the third book comes out and I can 'finish' the story then I'll want to pick up book 2... yeah so I'm done rambling.
