I think I tried to read Skin once and promptly stopped reading. I still want to try one of his adult things though, if only to be entertained by what dirty minds write children's books.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00370486039531015541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-555254327067745492.post-76180536606006539362012-09-18T17:37:26.262-04:002012-09-18T17:37:26.262-04:00Haha, Firefly's the best!Haha, Firefly's the best!Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00370486039531015541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-555254327067745492.post-89103561795983953222012-09-18T16:04:36.010-04:002012-09-18T16:04:36.010-04:00Really? My dad doesn't even know what Twitter is...and a 72 year old author is using it.

When I first saw Sarah J Maas' picture I had to check if it was actually her. I raided her livejournal...and was a bit sad that it wasn't actually her. AND I WAS SO SURE!

Of course! I loved his work enough to read biographies on that guy. And I still declare that he is my favorite author because he was the first one who made me LOVE to read and ravenous for everything and anything with his name.
Though I was not prepared to read his adult short stories...morbid stuff. *shudders*Lilianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11540910005642018594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-555254327067745492.post-70133368466458778512012-09-18T14:55:02.207-04:002012-09-18T14:55:02.207-04:00Good list. I love Scott Westerfield and Joss Whedon as well and I think that Firefly is enough of a reason to include Joss Whedon on your list.lillylilachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01952846622758569920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-555254327067745492.post-85764975493232109942012-09-18T14:16:00.806-04:002012-09-18T14:16:00.806-04:00I know she's still alive because she's on ...I know she's still alive because she's on Twitter!

Bahahaha, I do that same thing sometimes. You must love Sarah J. Maas then, because she actually DOES. I was really surprised when I met Jenny Han. I had NO idea she was Asian. I was expecting a white girl with brown hair because of her covers.

Right? So sad. He was a RACIST? :( Well, not too surprising given the time I guess, but not cool.

There was going to be a third one? You are FULL of info today.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00370486039531015541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-555254327067745492.post-28899597646649466552012-09-18T13:53:53.992-04:002012-09-18T13:53:53.992-04:00And before this post I didn't even know Margar...And before this post I didn't even know Margaret Atwood was still alive.

Shame on me.

I have this weird thing where I imagine authors to look like their protagonists or cover models...then the illusion dies when I see a picture of them. I think it would've been much more amusing if I retained my illusion of Lemony Snicket as a snarling guy with a tall top hat and a curly mustache. But then I found out he was just a normal fat guy.

I would love to meet Roald Dahl! It's always made me sad that my favorite children's author died before I even existed. I read an article that said he was a racist though...hmmmmm.
And it will forever bother me that the draft to the 3rd Charlie book is unfinished. *le sigh*Lilianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11540910005642018594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-555254327067745492.post-73874742649256457552012-09-18T13:46:33.909-04:002012-09-18T13:46:33.909-04:00Oooh, I wonder what Kelley's like in person. Also met the Bloggess *preens*

Okay, now that that's out of the way, I would so love to meet Nathan Fillion and Alan Alda and Tina Fey. It might be interesting to talk to C.S. If we're sticking to people who are alive, Paulo Coehlo would be a fascinating person to meet, as would Neil Gaiman. Can I count Nathan Fillion since they publish Rick Castle books with his picture on the back cover? Blogger/Authors Jenny Lawson (The Bloggess) and Cleolinda Jones (Movies in 15 Minutes). I realized yesterday (when another blog asked what famous people we'd want to meet) that I have an insane desire to meet Alan Alda and I'm pretty sure he's written a book or two, so I'm throwing him on the pile. But you know, I really just want to have a cup of tea with C.S. Lewis.
