In My Mailbox (13)

From TLC Book Tours:
Although this is super not up my usual book alley, I read the prologue and was impressed by it. This will be my first journey with TLC Book Tours. I hope it's the beginning of a beautiful friendship. :)

Narcopolis - Jeet Thayil

From Orbit:
Mira Grant's Feed was one of my top reads during 2011, and is, without a doubt, on my list of favorite dystopias. The book ended with one hell of a bang, so I'm ready to find out what's going to happen. Thanks to the wonderful people at Orbit, I now have a copy of Deadline and will be getting to read and review Blackout. This is my totally excited face!!!

Deadline  - Mira Grant

From Thomas Nelson:
I'm part of the blog tour for this one. I'll be posting my review May 1, so watch for that. It's a middle grade dystopia.

 Swipe - Evan Angler

Won in Giveaways:
I'm actually not a huge poetry fan, but I fought really hard in the Twitterverse to win a copy of this anthology. Why? Because it's fancy, and because I want to give poetry another go. If it's not for me, I have a poetry-loving friend who will get it and love it. :)

I won This Burns My Heart from Simon & Schuster in a Twitter giveaway. Yes, I do love those.

Actually, I won two copies of The Mapmaker and the Ghost without realizing it, so I'll be giving away a signed copy as soon as I read and review it. Look forward to that!

The Penguin Anthology of 20th Century American Poetry - Rita Dove, ed. / This Burns My Heart - Samuel Park

The Mapmaker and the Ghost - Sarvenaz Tash

From NetGalley:
Yay! I got approved for Gilt. Every Apocalypsie approval brings me so much joy!!! I am so excited for pretty much all of these. Redemption, though, I'm not sure about, but I had to request because it sounds so weird and unique; I certainly haven't read any YA books (or adult books for that matter) about gargoyles before. Thanks to Penguin Young Readers Group, Forge Books, Angry Robot, Hachette Book Group, and Flux Books for giving me access to these awesome-looking titles!

Gilt - Katherine Longshore / The Far Side of the Sky - Daniel Kalla / Blackwood - Gwenda Bond

Shift - Kim Curran / Redemption - Veronique Launier / Silver - Talia Vance

Purchased:
So far, I've read two of Brendan Halpin's books and adored both, so of course I couldn't pass up this paperback for $1.25. Last I checked it was still on sale, so go look.

Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance - Emily Franklin & Brendan Halpin

I am sooooooo pumped for Gilt and Blackwood.

And die with a little jealousy over The Mapmaker And The Ghost.

Happy reading :-)

I LOOOOVE the Mira Grant Feed books. The last one had an insane cliffhanger, so I can't wait for the next to come out. And how awesome are all these NetGalley books!? Hope you enjoy all your reading :-)

What a nice variety of books! I have to convince myself to stay away from NetGalley until I get caught up on some of the books I already have for review. But I did go and request REDEMPTION because I don't see nearly enough books about gargoyles. My mailboxes are here and here. Happy reading!

Wow, you have quite a few books I've really been wanting to read! The cartographer in me seriously covets The Mapmaker and the Ghost! (And I REALLY want to read Blackwood as well!) I don't really know anything about Mira Grant, but you've got me interested. I will have to look her books up!
