I squealed when I saw your cat. I literally squealed...which I swear sounds like a starving cat, so I should probably shut up.
ReplyDeleteSo...if I ever publish a book I need to make it SHINY. So you can find at least one reason to praise it.
I wasn't aware The Lost Girl was so popular, I saw some buzz...but it kinda died down and left my radar after its release.
I am jealous of Feedback. Y U NO LOVE VARIANT?
*goes and rereads your review*
Okay, I agree with the "more questions than answers" part, but I found it so...FUN. I love action.
I have been stalking the release of Feedback. So much so that despite knowing I have several projects and essays due and I am in NO position to be leisure reading, I went to the library and asked.
And it turns out my local library has a copy in the back that they have yet to catalog (but I really think one of the librarians wanted to read it herself first.)
I WANT TO GO ON BREAK SO I CAN READ TO MY HEART'S CONTENT. I stayed at home instead of going to school to finish my art projects because I knew I had to finish a book for a blog tour. Now I have to go to school earlier tomorrow to make up for it. *le sigh*
On a side note, you really do keep your books in great condition. I was surprised at how spanking new Possession looked when I took it out of the box *o*
Like your attitude towards Mystic City, it's a book I want to love because of it's lovely cover.
*points to the author of Lost Girl in your blog post*
He's adorbs!
DeleteYes, definitely make it shiny!
Well, the whole release week and done thing is sort of how this whole book blogging of review copies thing goes. People don't hit up the backlist too much.
So if I write a book and want you to praise it, ACTION GALORE. Noted.
Oooh, so you'll be posting soon. Cool!
Possession hasn't been read. I'd already read a library copy when I won it. Neither had Struck, but they probably wouldn't look much more beat up had I read them. I do take care of my books.
What? What are you talking about? <_< >_>
YES HE IS! I can stare at his face all day. *o*
DeleteOKAY! *stocks up on glitter*
How sad that we are talking about a book that just less than a month and a half ago. Anything over a month seems to be just old news. But then I am guilty too, I like NEW books. Because I can be a hipster.
Yes! and a mind-blowing plot twist please--but without random old neighbors suddenly turning into a demon that eats body parts.
If your definition of soon is 18 days later since that's when my stop is. But this week was one of those few times when my schoolwork wasn't TOO bad, so I just got the post over with. I was worried since the pace was slow, and it's one of those books I kept putting down because it seemed like the author forgot the plot or something.
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT ALL THIS OTHER STUFF, GIMMIE WHAT YOU PROMISED IN YOUR SUMMARY AND TAGLINE!"
Okay, fine. *takes back my praise and eats it up*
I do spend a lot of time staring at his face. I'm pretty sure I'd get more reading done without him.
DeleteWell, you should also like really old books, or new books that LOOK like really old books. Silly hipster.
Yup. Demons. That's what I'm going to do.
What book?
Yes, I do. I like really old books, but not infested ones like my father's. I swear some of them have termite poop on them.
DeleteSHOOT, now the twist is spoiled!
Danny Wallace's Charlotte Street.
I read it for a TLC book tour later this month. But for some odd reason the book isn't even on the TLC site yet. O_O
I wanted to go on tour for it since I read one of Wallace's nonfiction books: Friends Like These: My Worldwide Quest to Find My Best Childhood Friends, Knock on Their Doors, and Ask Them to Come Out and Play. <--if that doesn't sound like a must-read, I don't know what is.
I won't lie, for a guy that wrote Yes Man! I thought he'd be funnier. Or maybe it's just me being incompatible with British humor?
But I liked it enough to see what his fiction would be like.
EWWWWW. I like to keep my books as near perfect as possible.
DeleteHmmm, odd. I love TLC! That is a great title, the previous one, not this one. He wrote Yes Man!? I haven't seen that, so that is not a huge selling point.
Hm, I didn't reply to this comment!
DeleteI watched Yes Man because I adore Jim Carrey. Or I did.
But I really came back to this post because I just finished Feedback thirty minutes ago after finally getting a copy of it. If you didn't like Variant...I don't see Feedback being your thing. I am so disappointed in Feedback, I am going to be sulking the whole day.
Aww, hi kitty. Mr. Cat is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing a review of The Lost Girl from you. This book is on my to-read list. It sounds so good so hopefully it actually is good. XD
Yes, I love my kitty and his sweet face!
DeleteAww, Percy. He's such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteI will be looking forward to your review of Mystic City. The cover does look very shiny and pretty.
He is!
DeleteSo shiny, so pretty!
I got a copy of Unremembered too. I'm really excited to read it. Crewel came in the same package!!
ReplyDeleteInterested to hear your thoughts on Mystic City. It is a beautiful cover!! But I didn't love the book as much as I could. Though I did like it enough to continue the series. I hope it gets better!!
The Lost Girl and Eon are high on my tbr pile. Hopefully I can get to them soon.
Hmmm, well, our taste isn't the same on 1/4 or so books, so maybe I'll like it more?
DeleteMe too. I own them now, but I probably won't read them for ages.
Christina, I miss your face! I was so happy to see your cat! And of course, I'm super jealous of your YA-tastic haul. I really want to read Lost Girl too!
ReplyDeleteI miss your face too!
Delete"I not only judge them by their covers but by their packages" haha The Macmillan package for Crewel was gorgeous too! Unremembered looks so freaking good, I have an ebook but the physical is always so much cooler. Choking games? O.o Hi Kitty!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not sure about the choking games. I wouldn't have chosen that one probably, but it could be awesome. Who knows?
DeleteYeahhhhhhhhhhhhh Forbidden!
ReplyDeleteThat is all.
Great books lovey ;-)
