15 Day Book Blogger Challenge, Day 3: Blogging BFFs

Okay, so I'm late boarding this train, but I want to be part of the fun too. I asked on Twitter for buddies, so that I wouldn't be alone in taking this epic journey. Thankfully, bloggers are awesome people, so I quickly found three friends to travel with me through the book blogger challenge: Lili of Lili's Reflections, Mickey of I'm a Book Shark and Jessie of Ageless Pages Reviews, so make sure you check out their responses too! We'll be doing one challenge a week every Friday for fifteen weeks. For more information on the challenge itself, go visit Good Books and Good Wine's explanation post here.

Guess who doesn't read ahead? THIS GUY. I basically just did this for a TTT sort of, but, whatever, people don't get tired of being praised, do they?

To sort of break things up a bit, I'm going to do this one as the bloggers I chat with the most, be it on Twitter, gchat, fb, whatever, as opposed to the other ones being sort of big influences on my blogging. Or something.

My BFFs:
The girls of Cuddlebuggery: they're both fantabulous. I talk to Steph more, but she does have the advantage of sharing my time zone. Plus, I've met Steph IRL for BEA, and she is more awesome than you can possibly understand if you've not had the pleasure. AND I hope to see more of her soon. Possibly even twice in the coming months!

Jenni of Alluring Reads: This chick is so much fun. We talk about the most random shit you can imagine, as well as about book blogs and getting things off our chests about blogging stress. She is so much fun, and I'll totally want to visit her in Edmonton someday (since she won't freaking fly), though probs not til her kids are older. lol.

Kara of Great Imaginations: In less than a month, we will be hanging out in Florida, sarcastic bitch style. I do not know yet what that will really entail, but I am sure it will be fabulous. Also, it's an odd, sad week when I do not get to talk to Kara some. We should also probably do another chat, no?

Giselle of Xpresso Reads: We tweet all the time, usually so I can make fun of her for getting another Amanda Hocking book. That may not sound like that much, but it happens on a pretty much weekly basis, so...

Jamie of The Perpetual Page-Turner: She's so cute and funny. I'm always commenting whenever she posts photos because she has the freaking most adorable clothing ever. I want to visit her so she can be my personal shopper for a weekend.

April of Good Books and Good Wine: Someday we will go drinking together, and it will be EPIC. We don't talk as much now because her new job doesn't let her gchat, which is sad, except that I think she likes this job more, so probs worth it.

Blythe of Finding Bliss in Books: Girl is nuts. In the best way possible. We have epic discussions about important things like puns and how she should prank her husband and Disney Channel Original Movies. These discussions often include...

Gillian of Writer of Wrongs: Who, if you leave her out of a discussion on any pop cultural thing she loves, will find it hours later and favorite every tweet without fail. I've met her in real life and she really DOES burst into Disney songs in public and it is fabulous. Also, I get to introduce her to kdrama in two month and I'm so excited.

Katie of One Page at a Time: Speaking of kdrama, Katie is MY GIRL to discuss all of the hot Korean men with. She just moved to London, but the distance cannot destroy a friendship based on the kdrama-induced feels.

Gaby of Queen Ella Bee Reads: Gillian, Gaby and I spent basically the best day ever wandering around New York together. She's funny and sweet and a wonderful person. Oh, and her weekly discussion post feature is always super entertaining, and, like me, she understands that coffee is gross.

Debby of Snuggly Oranges: 1/3 of the reason that I want to travel to the Netherlands. Debby's hilarious and always around to discuss gifs or to yell about awesome books in all caps on Twitter. Oh, also, Neil Gaiman knows who she is.

Judith of Paper Riot: 2/3 of the reason that I want to travel to the Netherlands. Judith is also funny and sweet, and un-stereotypically short. This is a thing I have learned.

Kat of The Aussie Zombie: The final 1/3 of the reason I want to travel to the Netherlands...and then hop a plane to Australia to visit Kat with a native Aussie to protect me from dying. Kat and I have been blogger friends for longer than most and she has been consistently awesome and supportive.

Shelver of Bookshelver's Anonymous: Shelver and I are very different people, but I think we respect and love one another anyway, which is awesome. We share some passions, like middle grade and historical. Sometimes Shelver gets trapped in an absurd conversation with Gilly and me and shenanigans ensue.

Lili of Lili's Reflections: Lili and I are totally infamous (in my head if not in real life) for our readalongs which are accompanied by sassy tweets. Also, we have a lot of ships in common and are known to flail about them in all caps.

Renae of Respiring Thoughts: Basically, I tweet her everyday to find out what she is reading. Because she really is reading something new everyday. And, often, her book involves crazy descriptions of penises, so her tweets are naturally pretty entertaining and I must know more. Also, she just started college and I have so many feels for her being all grown up. Make all sorts of new friends and do not stay in your dorm room eating granola bars and writing slash fic, Renae!

Bekka of Pretty Deadly Reviews: We used to tweet each other the worst romance covers we could find. I am trying to remember why we stopped. This is a tradition that must return, I say!

Jessie of Ageless Pages: Jessie's a person I talked to on Twitter and on Goodreads for like two months before I realized that those two people were in fact one person. Boy, did I feel dumb the day I realized that. And now you know, Jessie.

I may have left people out, but this post is meant to be up in ten minutes, so I should stop. Also, I hear a lot about how cliquish blogging is, and I might be considered part of some clique or other, but REALLY? Look at that list! There are so many blogging people that I love and I am totally open to adding more people to this list. Sure, I may tweet these people more than others, but that might also be because they respond. :-p

The Amanda Hocking book joke. I remember that well. That was one of the first conversations that I'd ever jumped into on twitter. Are they STILL coming?

"Make all sorts of new friends and do not stay in your dorm room eating granola bars and writing slash fic, Renae!" FANGIRL reference for the win! Also yes: "her book involves crazy descriptions of penises." Wasn't there a jeweled one before?

"We used to tweet each other the worst romance covers we could find." Please do. You will entertain the rest of us. Even if I do not go on twitter often, I bet I will find some residue of these tweets.

It's so awesome that you have gotten to meet some of these wonderful people :). Have fun with Kara and Gillian when you see them again!

PS - coffee is gross. that's why you should get it with lots of sugar and milk and chocolate syrup mixed in (blended mochas are the BEST.).

I love you, fellow blogging BFF, but coffee is not gross. Coffee is very much not gross, and is very much the thing that keeps me alive every morning.

Anyhoo, YES, that day you and Gaby and I went about rainy NYC was the best. I'm so excited for you to come to LA! We will watch all the things and go to all the bookstores and you will teach me the ways of the kdrama! Haha, I really do burst into Disney song. I DO.

Love how many other people I love are on this list! And now I need to go become best friends with all the other awesome people I don't know well yet. I must steal all your friends from you.

I wanna do this, too! I always miss out on the fun memes. *le sigh*

I'm currently debating on whether or not to do this meme. Would it be considered lagging behind? I do not know.

SO MANY AWESOME PEOPLE <333

Do IT!

Also, Amber is one of my BFFs, even if I forgot to put her on here. 1) she has a bitching accent. 2) She subtweets me and it's so funny. 3) Never have I had such a long twitter conversation without @s. 4) She has hilarious taste in bookish men.

YOU SHOULD BE HERE TOO. I fail.

Amy's so much fun. The best time was when she was totally stalking RDJ. And he signed her purse. We have totally not the same taste in books, except for audios, so we always have fun discussing those!

Aww thanks hon!!! I have been a horrible bloggy BFF lately with getting behind on commenting. We really do have very different taste in books, but we've liked some of the same.

Mwah! I would totally kill spiders for you. Snakes, well, it depends on the size ;) You should totally come to NL to meet me, Judith and Debby. Are more than three reasons actually necessary? :P

Ha, I think Giselle got a few more a month or so ago.

Yeah, there was a jeweled penis in that Kingdom of Little Wounds book. O_O

I totally forgot to put you on this list. Oops! I blame you for not being on twitter more often, and I was scrolling through tweets to find my BFFs. Lol.

We will have all the fun.

Nope, can't even take coffee when mixed with a whole bunch of chocolate. Just give me the chocolate.

Gillian, no one wants your coffee propaganda here. Move along.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN. We will do so many silly things while I am there and it will be great. I sort of feel like we'll spend most of our time watching tv, but I'm kind of okay with that, ya know?

I have so many blogger friends. Get your hands off them. RUDE.
