OH MY GOD, IT'S PERCYYYYYYYYY. HE'S SO CUUUUUUUUUTE. /weekly fit over adorable cat

I would have called you a fuckwit again (lovingly, of course!) had I not gotten Devil earlier this week too. I'll be the one crying loudest if it's a fail. I hope you like Born of Illusion too. It caught me in a good mood and didn't offend me, so I maaaaaaaay have been merciful. It ain't perfect and I see where people will dislike it. It got very predictable at some points.

I can totally see Percy destroying that bookmark. My little Dodo Bird tore apart one of my graduation tassels when it was hanging from the chandelier. We're still finding bits and pieces of it.

I love to read books set in Asia. The Sword Dancer sounds interesting, but it's book #4 in the series. Hmmm.. I think I will wait for your review. :D
Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea has beautiful cover. I hope there will be awesome content inside. :)
Thank you for the live unboxing. You give little bloggers to feel a little bit of that excitement when whole box of books arives for you. :)
I enjoyed reading Losing it, it was fun and light fluffy read, I hope you will enjoy it too.
Quintana of Charyn and Winterveil sound very interesting altough I haven't started those series yet.
Percy is so cute. If you ran out of bookmarks let me know and I will mail you some. Since I switched to ebooks, I now have large neglected collection. ;)
New books for me this week...

He's adorable!!!!

Well, I supposed I'm glad you got the same package, because once a week is enough fuckwit-itude for me. Oh, hmm, well, you're not the only one who liked it, so *crosses fingers*

Yeah, Percy LOVES strings. He eats any he can get his hands on. It's the worst.

I talked to the author about that. She said it's not actually forth, but the publisher wants to list them as a series so people know when they're set.

I hope soooooo.

Ha, it's super exciting. I'll try to do it more often, but I'm generally too impatient to wait!

I'm really liking Losing It so far.

Me either. So I hope they're good.

Ha, I have like a million bookmarks. He just eats the pretty ones with tassels.

You have Jeannie Lin's book! ::cries tears of jealousy and joy:: I've read two of hers so far, and enjoyed them both.

Percy is the best vlog assistant ever. Even if he has a bookmark fetish (hey, he wouldn't be the only one!)

Milk of Birds looks and sounds so good - I'm such a sucker for covers like that.

Losing It wasn't terrible, but as you know I totally objected to the beginning.

Bahahaha at your ending!

Fantastic haul, Christina!!! Isn't the Sword Dancer 3rd in the series? Or are they stand alones because I remember reading book #1 awhile ago and I had to put it aside, it just wasn't for me but I think the name might have been different... I so need to get to my copy of Born of Illusion next month I hope I enjoy it too. Also fingers crossed for Bruised (another book I'm dying to read). Enjoy all!

Your cat is just too freaking cute. He's quite possibly my favorite part of your videos. :P Well, that and the awesome books you always have to show!
Born of Illusion really sounds awesome and I may have to check it out... it's been getting fantastic reviews already. I've been looking for Wintercraft at my used bookstore for a while now but it has yet to pop up. That series (trilogy?) sounds really good.
Enjoy your new reads!

Wait, you've never read ANY Melina Marchetta? WHATTTTTT? Get on that, girl! Percy is adorable this week and he is adorable any week. I still want to squeeze him. So the rest of the books? Not so much interest in those, but I do have a copy of Born of Illusion that I will be reviewing soon and it looks really good and I think I will love it. I hope so!!

I'm off to NetGalley then. I didn't request this book there, only because I'm too lazy catching up with series, but if it can be read out of order... :)

...

I understand why you are too impatient to wait, I don't think I could do it either.

I'm glad to hear that.

...

That display's Percy's good taste. Why should he settle for ugly bookmarks. ;)

YOU HAVE QUINTANA!!! *laser glare*
That finished US hardcover looks absolutely gorgeous. I was at Australia last year and didn't manage to buy a copy. :(

I may have accidentally submitted Jellicoe Road (also by Melina Marchetta) on the Sadie Hawkins form twice. o__o

Everyone seems to have gotten Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. I got declined on Edelweiss and am now waiting to hear on NG, but I'm assuming I'm declined there too.
Oh Heart of Glass! I liked Cross My Heart so I need to read that one.
Great book haul chick!! You got lots of awesome books!!

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is okay. Not brilliant but not insanely bad either. And how have you not read Jellicoe Road by Marchetta yet? You need to read it!!!! Right away!!!

I can't believe none of the YA Book Central editors wanted Quintana!! Lucky you got it all to yourself. That series is THE BEST. I have Quintana sitting in my closet right now... must get to that.

I'll be looking forward to your reviews of 45 Pounds and The Beginning of Everything. I've been eyeing those. Also, I predict an impromptu read along for Devil. Let us hope it is awesome.

Well, from what she said it's not even a series, or this one's starting a new series or something like that.

Bahahaha, Perseus is a classy cat.

Ooh, glad to know they're so good. This will be my first experience!

I suspect many cats think bookmarks look like prey. I mean, they're so twitchy and insouciant.

I HOPE SO. :/

I really liked Losing It. Haha, but I see where you're coming from for sure.

Weird is what I am.

No, I talked to the author. She said that it's the beginning of a new series (I think), but the publisher added it to the Tang Dynasty one on Goodreads, because they wanted people to know when it's set.

Blogger Christina said...

Haha, I know I'm nowhere near the top of the best things in the videos. Haha.

I'll let you know if it's good!

Blogger Christina said...

NOPE. somehow I missed that. Percy would be seriously indignant if you squeezed him. So many and you're only interested in two? I need to step up my game.

It does look much better in hardcover than it did on the computer, I think. :)

Haha, I think you did. That should just increase its odds of winning, right?

May 1, 2013 at 3:18 PM
Blogger Christina said...

They did send that to a bunch of people, so I do hope it's good. *crosses fingers*

I don't remember Cross My Heart hardly at all, so I hope that doesn't turn out to be an issue.

Blogger Christina said...

Ah, too bad that it's not brilliant, but okay's better than nothing.

Well, maybe they did, but aren't as crazy as I am to offer for the third in a series they've not started. X_X

This impromptu readalong is right as it comes out, right?

I can't wait to see what you think of Heart Of Glass, because I really enjoyed Cross My Heart.

ALSO.

I am so freakin jealous of Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea, totally eyeing that book hard.
