BLOGOVERSARY, BITCHESSSSSS!

Those of you who do not like swearing, I apologize for making it so avert, but I simply couldn't restrain my excitement. As of today, August 4, 2013, I've been blogging for three full years. It's been a pretty wild ride, and I've made a lot of mistakes and dear friends along the way. Never have I really been a hobby person, but now I've finally found one that suits me. I've also found my kindred spirits, people who get just as involved in pop culture as I do. This means so much to me.

As I've mentioned before, I'm not doing anything special just yet, though I hope to have some sort of combo blogoversary/OMG-my-blog-looks-real-now-guys celebration when I'm all moved to Wordpress with my custom design by Cindy Pepper. I'm not a hundred percent sure when that will be, but hopefully by September. *crosses fingers*

For now, in this post, I have three agendas.

To mark the occasion, which I have done already.
To give you the chance to get to know me better. Leave questions about me, anything you want, with me having ultimate veto rights on anything so inappropriate even I'm raising my eyebrows, and I will answer it in a post that will go up later this week or early next, depending on how scheduling goes. So, friends, what would you like to know about me?

to quote the book you hate, what would your fear landscape look like?
I think I already sent you this question on twitter - I don't know if that means it was vetoed but: if you could live anywhere, where would you? would you move? and if you had to live in another time period, which one would you pick? I love those kind of questions. I have a headache right now - otherwise I would write more. I might come back to this post later.

Happy Blogoversary, Christina. Three years is like... an eternity. You are like... ancient. A blogging grandmother. Full of wisdom and stories about walking ten miles in the snow just to get to the nearest blog post. Or... something.

ANYWAY, QUESTIONS. Ummmm... if you could only watch ONE Disney movie, say, while visiting someone who owns all the Disney movies, which would it be?

Ellis said...: I'm totally late to the party but HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY. (Think of it as bridging the period between the occasion and the celebration. I try to use that excuse...) Congratulations on three years! Okay, questions. The originality has more or less returned to my brain, so...

Question 1: Do you play or have you ever played any musical instruments?
Question 2: If you had a favourite author who originally wrote their works in a foreign language that you don't know (well), would you be willing to learn that language simply to adore the genius in its original format? I imagine it might be difficult with Solzhenitsyn, for instance, because Russian is another alphabet entirely, but maybe you have a hidden talent for it ^_^

I am a librarian in my twenties. I got my MLIS at the University of Pittsburgh in 2010, and, through the vagaries of the job market, ended up working at a software company, rather than a librarian. I still very much consider myself to be a librarian, though.
