Blythe Harris said...: I'm so jealous that you got Paper Valentine! I sent in an ARC request yesterday though I highly doubt it'll be approved, but I still have my fingers crossed! I haven't heard great things about her 'The Replacement', but I *have* heard great things about her 'The Space Between', which I think is her second book, so I'm hoping she did improve as an author over time, and that Paper Valentine will be amazing! And I'm also super interested in what you think of Touching the Surface! I love books dealing with the afterlife, if they do it well (*glares at Hereafter*), so I'm hoping that one is good! I remember seeing Paper Valentine a month or two ago on a bunch of people's Waiting for Wednesday, and I thought the cover was lovely. (I am too shallow for my own good) Though I still have no idea what the story is supposed to be about. If it's anything to do with a lovey dovey romance, I'm out.

Ah, I read R.O.D. a looonnngg time ago (when I was in middle school?). I think I stopped at volume two and went back to reading Prince of Tennis.

Amazon is sneaky...

WHY DOES MY LIBRARY STILL NOT HAVE A COPY OF The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls? *flips table*

Christina said...: Awww, good luck with your review request! Your blog is young, but you have so many GR followers. They should totally factor that in. Maybe it's good that I got it then, because I may have been judging her unfairly off her debut. She could easily have grown as a writer since her first book. I mean, compare Harry Potter 1 and HP 4, and you have a whole different thing.

I'm not sure what the story is about either. I think I read the blurb when it got here, but it totally disappeared from my brain. Hmmm. Dead best friend, heat wave and ghosts. Could be cool.

Prince of Tennis did go on FOREVER, nobody ever graduated or something. Or the kept flunking to play tennis.

I just found out that Hawaii has the lowest voter turnout. *feels guilty* Those Obama bio's don't seem to be working. Admittedly I own two Obama biographies myself...still unread.

*imagines dead birds piled on sidewalks* *shudders* I would not be able to leave the house. I think I saw something like that on the news. In Arkansas I believe because of fireworks or lightning. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
