Thank you for being a jerk for me. I am worth it.

"I like that it's not about how the diverse person is suffering because they are diverse and nobody likes them."
That just made me burst into laughter. And I had to replay it several times.
Well nice to know nobody likes me... lalalalala
But yes, I know exactly what you mean.

I didn't even see the guy on the cover until you pointed it out. *rubs eyes*

HEY! I actually like The Uncommon Education's Hardback cover more. Y U NO LIKE IT?

DID EVERBOUND COME IN A SHINY BLUE PACKAGE? *o*

Kitty!

You have some weird videos that pop up in the Youtube widget after your video: someone's anniversary, Walden on audiobook, and a clip from a basketball game. Strange.

Yay for wishlist fairies :) I haven't read Cold Kiss but I have heard good things about it. I think I have it on my Nook, maybe.

Small Medium at Large looks really cute. I hope you like it :)

Awesome haul, Christina!!! Be a jerk for me too. Also, cats sleep in weird places all the time, if you don't pester them they'll just continue being obscure :)

I'll be interested to see what you thought of An Uncommon Education. I didn't want to take it for a review because I was very unsure it would be my cup of tea.

Happy Sunday!

Everybody keeps talking about Everbound, but I gave up on the series after book 1. It just didn't do it for me. But I've heard book 2 is better than #1, so I hope you enjoy it! :-)

EVERBOUNDDDDDDDD YES.

I loved Everneath but I know not everyone will be into it. I hope you dig it though. :-)

Uhhh, you look so cute in that shirt! I love it!

I am on the tour for an Uncommon Education too! Maybe it is waiting in my mailbox. I have something to look forward to tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy Everbound. I liked Everneath, but I wasn't as blown away as some others were.

OMG I want The White Woman on the Green Bicycle. That sounds so good!

Awesome haul, Christina!

Hahaha, isn't "you're worth it" a slogan for a makeup company? Oh, it might be Garnier Fructis or something. "BECAUSE YOU'RE WORTH IT."

Gah, yeah, I didn't say that right. I just meant that I liked that it wasn't centered around the marginalization of the non-white character.

He's there! And sneaky like a ninja.

I do like the hardback. It has Shakespeare, but it also looks like the cover of Special Topics in Calamity Physics, which I really didn't like.

Nope. A normal beige-y yellow one.

Yeah, I saw that. YouTube did that. I clicked the button to make it stop, but apparently that didn't work. O_O

Cold Kiss surprised me!

So cute!

Hahaha, true. He would stay in his boxes forever if I didn't bother him. That cat just loves boxes.

I just could not turn down a Shakespeare secret society!

Hmm, I like it well enough so far (Everneath), so maybe this will be one of those (many) times where we disagree, like with Easy which I just finished.

I'm loving the mythology in Everneath. Very cool twist on the tales!

Oh, thank you. I felt like it was making me look very wide. O_O

Sweet! Reading buddy!

So far it's in the 3.5/4 star range for me, but I'm less than 200 pages in.

Doesn't it look pretty? The Goodreads ratings are low, but I don't entirely trust GR, so who knows?

I was thinking it was Maybelline, but it they have "Maybe she's born with it." I looked it up. It's L'Oreal. Except they changed it to "Because we're worth it." Which sounds kinda lame. "NO! ONLY I'M WORTH IT! NOT YOU GUYS, RANDOM L'OREAL PEOPLE!"

Special Topics in Calamity Physics, the book or the cover?

Shucks, they must be getting poorer.

Ugh, Punguin is doing the likes for a the unveil of a sample chapter thing. I wonder how successful it'll be. I for one don't even read sample chapters. What's the point?

PENGUIN! I MEANT PENGUIN.

Punguin sounds cute too.

Way better to make it just you. I don't want to be equal to all of those people! Shiny curtain hair is for me and me ALONE!

The cover. I hope not the book.

No clue. Or maybe I'm just not special enough.

I don't read them either. I would just have to reread when the actual book came out anyway.

PUNGUIN!

Of course!

I don't know if watching your vlog has something to do with it, but last night I dreamed I adopted a cat (it was white with black spots.) Except we didn't have enough room in my room, I so I left it in the bathroom. And I was probably too lazy to buy catfood so I opened canned tuna for it.

Oh, my typos >_< And your ability to make them sound intentional. =)
Nobody bought Godreads yet (I think.) We can still make it a Christian Goodreads and then sell it to Amazon or Goodreads!

I still think the Penguin and Random House merger should've been called Random Penguin. Or Penguin House. Oh, that would be cute.

Awwww, kitty! At first, I thought this was going to be a tragic story about how your new cat starved to death in the bathroom. Thank goodness it wasn't. Also, I bet it did not mind tuna food.

I am SO clever.

RANDOM PENGUIN for sure.

You think my dreams are tragic!??
Well I remember I stuffed him a box and forgot about him for a day--then I was worried about him starving. But he was just curled up in a ball sleeping. I think it liked canned tuna, but I wouldn't know because for the rest of the dream I was too busy catching a train to open some safe of my inheritance (which turned up to be only a hundred bucks.) So disappointing.

Sometimes I think I can write a novel based on my dreams. Forgetting a cat in a box, such an original idea!

You locked a cat in a bathroom! I was CONCERNED!

You're a terrible cat mom. At least in your dreams.

December 17, 2012 at 4:46 PM
Blogger Lilian said...

I DIDN'T LOCK HIM IN. I CLOSED THE DOOR BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT HIM RUINING MY CURTAINS...OR JUMPING OFF THE BALCONY. I assume cats don't know how to turn door knobs? THEY DON'T HAVE THE FINGERS FOR IT.

I always assumed cats could take care of themselves. They are so great living on the streets anyway.

It's okay, I like both you and your cute cat equally. :p
Great haul! I can't wait to see what you think of Everneath.

December 17, 2012 at 11:03 PM
Blogger Christina said...

Oh well, I guess that's okay. However, some cats can open doors. They jump and turn the knob with their paws. My cat can't, though.

They can if there are ways to get food. There's probably not much food in your bathroom.
