I have no idea what books you got because I was too busy paying attention to your cat. :P

Nah, kidding. Not even cats can completely divert my attention! Now I need to go snuggle Pivot Point more.

Thanks for trating the fans to more Percy cuteness, Christina! :))) I could barely keep my eyes on the books. Firebrand has been out with two other books in the series as a small press book in UK for a few years already and had some fab reviews, but now Tor picked it up - hence the awesome cover. I have it in my pack of review books too and hope to read it soon.
The confessions of a Hater also looks absolutely awesome. Will be looking for your review to see if I need to buy it or not. Enjoy all!

I want Percy. Like, a lot. Because he's adorable. And I haven't had my coffee yet. And it's morning. So this comment will be thoroughly incoherent. Let's goooooo!

Invisibility: I hope you like this! I absolutely positively one billion percent x six thousand enjoyed Levithan's Every Day, but I've heard horror stories about Cremer's books, so I'm not sure about that teamup. But the novel itself sound interesting, and an excerpt I read online for the first chapter was pretty good, so I'll keep an open mind and stalk your updates.

Solstice: I haven't heard about this book before right now and now I'm jealous. This sounds pretty awesome. And topical. (or should I say... tropical. BA DUM TSH.) (I'm sorry. It's morning. I'm not funny in the morning.) Look forward to your reviews for that too.

Taken bookmarks: Shit. I forgot to email Erin for the swag. *sigh* Well either way I have her stopping by for a post in April for my blogoversary so I'll probably get some swag then.

Pivot Point: <3

Shards & Ashes: Your status updates for this one scared me.

Your are one evil owner, dangling stuff in front of Percy like that... "ooo, this box is so comfty...THERE'S A DANGLING PIECE OF PAPERRRR. RAWR. comfty box or evil paper...my life is so complicated"

Woah, I haven't seen Invisibility ARCs popup much...I already requested it from the library, so I am excited for it. I only hope it won't be TOO similar to Every Day.

I won a #YAJeopardy prize pack too! I was sure to stick the "apartment" part o my address on the same lie as my street because they forgot it last time..and then UPS made me go and pick the package up in person with ID and stuff...argh.
I was very happy for Pivot Point, because I was stalking the library to read it...and BAM! it showed up, so I was like "this is fate~~~~"
And then I was like "what is this? a paranormal collection??" with Shards and Ashes. The cover is so awkward..I don't even.

Whoo! I can't wait to read Invisibility -- based on the sparse pages I've read it looks good.

Confessions of A Hater looks legit. Also I love that title.
PIVOT POINT -- I need to read that like ASAP.

OMG he's so cute! I love when he just shoves his hand out and goes for it and that's all you see haha! I'm always so scares, those claws are vicious and playing could end badly! I see that you are reading Shards & Ashes now and it doesn't look like it is going too well so I can't wait to see your review. I liked Pivot Point and I'm excited for Taken! Holla!

I'm only two chapters in, so I'm not sure how I feel about Firebrand yet. I can say it didn't catch me immediately, but it's also not immediately awful, so good enough.

You can't have him! He's my baby. Also, he's not all that comfortable with people who aren't me. :-p

Yay incoherency!

Yeah, I'm scared a little bit. I've both liked and disliked Levithan in the past, and Cremer's series was at best a C and book two lost me.

Bahahahaa, punning! Love it! I hope it's awesome. I have pretty high standards for Tor Teen.

Lol oh well. It's just swag.

Shards & Ashes: Meh. It wasn't terrible. I just picked out the worst quotes to share. Because I am evil.

Whatever, Percy LOVES it. Playing is his favorite. For a while he had both the comfy box AND the paper.

I wouldn't think so. I mean, for one thing, he's a dude and stays a dude, and he's invisible. lol.

Oh, so we all got the same thing? Good to know. I wish it had been books I didn't already have, but oh well!

Yup. He's the cutest. He loves to play. Awww, you don't need to be that scared of Percy. He's always been really good with his claws. If he bats at a toy, he uses claws, but for people he keeps his paw flat so his claws are retracted. Accidents happen sometimes if you use a toy and your hand or if his claws are too long, but I trim them pretty often.

I think I am worried about Levithan's moral opinions and how heavy-handed they can be. (this is coming from someone who has only read one of his books)
I've always wanted to dump paint on an invisible person. And I am interested about how his invisibility works. So the clothes he wears turns invisible when he touches them? Because floating clothes is just weird. But so would walking around naked....

Confession. I am evil. In which I was happier to find out we all got the same thing...because I thought they would be giving the winner the same book that they guessed right on. And if someone else got a Requiem ARC...*tears* and then curse at myself for not typing faster.

Not that I think about it, I don't think I am anticipating Requiem because of the story...but because I want to say I finished a series.

I looked at the cover again...and I really don't know what's with her. She belongs on a paranormal cover. She looks like a witch who accidentally cursed herself with old age and now she's mad at everyone.
Not sure what's up with her position either. "I must grab onto my hair!"

I heard from a couple of friends who read Pivot Point that it's nothing special. Although when you lower your expectations it sometimes turns out better than you hoped. LOL I really should buy Invisibility, I really like the summary and I have it on my tbr for ages... Great haul, I hope you enjoy them all.

Well, I wouldn't say Pivot Point was nothing special, but I suppose it depends what you look for in a book. My first requirement is great characters and West has that. If a reader is more about world building or action, I suppose I can see a lackluster reaction. And, of course, we don't all connect to the same sorts of characters.

I don't know if his moral opinions will bother me, since I'm pretty sure I would agree with him on most things, but I also haven't read any where he got high-handed about that. I did however hate the pomposity of Dash in Dash & Lily's. I wanted to kill that snarly hipster, so I really hope this guy isn't like that one.

No idea how the invisibility works. Would definitely be more convenient if your clothes also went invisible, but then you have to wonder how much other stuff you can make invisible. Naked's pretty much the only thing that makes sense.

Oh yeah. I was afraid of that, because I answered the Jodi Meadows question, and I gave Incarnate three stars.

Yeah, it's a weird cover. Why is her hair white? It's a mystery.

"Naked's pretty much the only thing that makes sense."
But he might be walking down a street amongst a crowd, and someone will inevitably touch his private parts. I guess he could purposely walk next to girls...*strokes beard*

Maybe Asunder will be better? A least its cover is pretty.

I answered the Valkyrie Rising question. I didn't even read the book, but the day before I had to do a presentation for my Apocalyptic fiction class, and skimmed a wikipedia page on Norse mythology/Ragnarok. Then I remembered a previous Tea Time where they talked about Norse mythology and Valkyrie Rising.

But #YaJeopardy made me think I should read more upcoming book synopses. Even though I tend not to read them for the sake of keeping the book a complete surprise.

Did you find out why after reading the book?

Nice haul and a few bloggers I know really enjoyed Pivot Point, and oh yes to Invisibility ..cannot wait to crack my copy open!

Bahaha, gross. I'm just saying. You have a lot of other things to consider if you let his clothes also be invisible. UNLESS whatever made him invisible happened while he was in those clothes. so they alone are invisibly, but would probably get pretty stinky and worn.

I hope so. Cutting back on the dragons and sylphs would be my first recommendation.

I really liked that book. Don't know if you would though.

I don't read synopses, but I knew most of them.

NOOOOOOPE.

Reading Every Day convinces me that Levithan probably won't explain it. And I don't blame him. I think if he wanted to explain, he would have to take the clothed route since the guy is clothed on the cover. Then it would have to be something like "The stuff he touches do turn invisible with him IF they are made out of cotton, nylon, 50% polyester...leather. AND it's okay if dirt/ketchup/mustard lands on the shirt, it magically counts as part of the shirt. And he makes sure to sneak into the laundromat so he doesn't smell awful. And he hides in Ross every so often (or Abercrombie if he feels sexy) to steal clothes...so really, he isn't that disgusting, I promise!"
And then people would STILL find holes. So I do think it's fine to be like "screw this. just accept that this is how it works, people."

I had to google with sylphs were. I am so stupid to mythical things.

"I really liked that book. Don't know if you would though."
Everytime you say that I feel like proving you wrong or something. "HMPH, CHRISTINA! I DID LIKE IT. NYAH NYAH NYAH"

"I don't read synopses, but I knew most of them."
Well, I'm sorry. It makes me wonder if Tea Time is geared towards book bloggers who actually know about upcoming books. I don't know how much I would know if there wasn't a constant stream of YA book blogs informing me about new release.

Then they probably added her there to fill space.

Well, who knows. I need to read Every Day still. That seems like potentially a different kind of book, though. I mean, that sounded like more an intellectual/philosophical exercise, where the point is to hypothetically imagine what that might be like. This seems like more of a paranormal thing, and I would want to know what the rules of it are.

I'm not super sure what they are, and I don't really care. They seemed like ghosty things.

GO AHEAD AND PROVE ME WRONG.

Must be. Those would be hard if you didn't know about all of the upcoming releases and who pubs them.

You have to have a lady in the dress on the cover. You just do.
