OK those middle-grade reads (The Hero's Guide) look really fun! I don't add a lot of middle-grades to my TBR but after seeing those covers and checking them out in Goodreads I am convinced I will love them!

Oh and I'd probably ask for an exchange. I've always had a great experience with Amazon about things like that.

I say go to Canada and steal her ARCs--The Program, Christina? Remember The Program? And all those other awesome ARCs? Also, I was interested in White Lines, but I'll be passing on it after seeing quite a few negative reviews, and after seeing that Jenni kinda sorta didn't like it? Anyway, I was hesitant to read that one to begin with, and now I'll pass for sure. And ew--the new cover for Famous Last Words.

Really cover designers?

REALLY?

Catching Jordan... Hmm... To read or not to read, that is the question... I think I'll get that one if I see it around in book stores or on sale, but I don't see myself going out of my way to get it. Though I did like the atmosphere and writing in Things I Can't Forget, I've read reviews for Catching Jordan that say it's 90% annoying angst and crying, so yeah.

Gah I want Eleanor & Park nowwww and Attachments of course. I was reading Graffiti Moon at the same time as Jenni and also Jamie from Perpetual Page Turner and we all loved it so you will love it too. Or else.

I would definitely exchange the book. I think Amazon Canada might be different because I heard American Amazon you pay to send it back then they refund you the cost later. I'm not sure if that's true, but all I had to do was generate postage online via my complaint and send it back free. My copy of Audrey, Wait! was all dirty on the cover and the corner was creased. So yes, definitely send back!

First of all, is that a new sweater?! I really like it!

I think I need to read Drowning Instinct right now. You know how much I love having my heart ripped out and set on fire...well, not irl, obviously, but...you know what I mean.

I want to read all of those MG books! ALL OF THEM! Actually, I think I want to read nearly every book you got this week. Well done!

Your book hug made me lol. You forgot you were filming, didn't you? haha!

Also, exchange it or get a credit. You deserve a pretty copy!

For the record, I'm only interested in Orleans :) haha! I find nothing romantic or thrilling about romantic thrillers.

Oh, before I forget, do you have a copy of Never Let Me Go, Carpe Diem, or The Heart is a Lonely Hunter? I noticed they were on your goodreads TBR shelf, and I'm too lazy to go all the way to facebook to PM you. haha. I liked all three, but they won't be re-reads for me, so if you want any, let me know; I'll send them, along with Age of Desire (which I just noticed on my dresser yesterday; I thought I gave it back to you. D'oh! As you predicted, I loved it.)

This comment is not cohesive at all. My apologies!

The Tale of Raw Head and Blood Bones - what a cool title! I have Drowning Instinct and Graffiti Moon in my classroom library, but they've disappeared. I'll have to bug the kids about digging them out from under their beds or out of their lockers. Really want to read them.

I've found Amazon to be good about fixing issues. On one hand, bent up books mean that they've been read, lugged from place to place, loved; one the other hand, there's nothing like a pristine, new book.

Oh no you had to put a disclaimer at the beginning that you were joking... I'm frightened.

LOL I can't believe they keep sending you books, that's annoying. At least you are not obligated to read them.

Ooooh I want Orleans! *grabby hands*

Good luck with White Lines, it started off promising, but went wrong somewhere along the way.

"Tuesday's gone with the wiiiiind..."

Oooh I like the Raw Head title alone, very fun name.

The cover for those ones you won look fun!

Uh oh here it comes.....LOL Those bookmarks they are sending out are the worst. Oh that couldn't have been it. The anticipation is KILLING ME!

You are rubbing those on your face. Okie.

Holy crap those books come fast from Amazon. LOL from past me to future me bahahahaha

LOL you will love it! There are no murders in my future, I am not worried! You can come and steal all the ARC's you want. Plllllease do!

I have to get the other Crowley book, I heard about it the other day!

UGH! I had a chance to get Eleanor & Park but had no room for it, I really wish I could have gotten it. I guess it will be one that I have to buy and read on my own time. Sounds like one I would really like, no?

Ohhh booo about Angelfall, I would totally complain. It's a book that you paid for, send them an email with some pictures, what's the worst that could happen?

Huzzah, the second & third books in the Tatiana and Alexander series - the first was my favourite but the others were pretty good too.

Angelfall was such a surprise - it was so much darker than I thought it would be.

I need to get me a copy of Fang Girl, it sound so much fun.

Enjoy (and don't kill Jenni, just give her that evil stare!)!

Thanks for the great vlog :) I'd say it never hurts to try. Just email Amazon and see what they say. Amazon US is awesome. I bought a Nora Roberts book thinking it was new and it was a reissue. I submitted for a refund and they didn't even make me send it back. Just gave me a credit.

Oooo! The Hero's Guide! I'm jealous. :-)

As for your problem, I'm Amazon's financial backer in their book department (not really, but close), and I can tell you with no hesitation that they want you to request an exchange. They want you to be happy and spend all your money like me. Also write a review of the packaging, which is on the "Leave Feedback" part of your account. It really helps makes things better. It's improved even in the last few months for me. :-)

Also, I'm on the Tale of Raw Head tour, too! It'll be the first joint review for Will & I! :-D And the author is transgender? I totally missed that somewhere. Not that I care... (Why is that even a point?)

Your haul this week sounds amazing!

I think you should contact Amazon! You paid for the book so it's only fair that they fix the issue. Either way it's a completely fantastic book and you'll love it!

You are so funny! I'm glad you like your books enough to hug! lol j/k I do the same with my books when they come in:) It made me giggle though. Also, I hate when that happens to my books. I bought one from B&N and it was messed up so I went back and exchanged it. So if I was you, definitely exchange it. Your paying for something new and it shouldn't be damaged. And like booksowlsandtea (above) I'm also very OCD about my books. They have to be perfect!

I KNOW. I want The Program so hard! BUT Lenore's planning to give me hers when she comes to Atlanta in April. Holla! So I don't need to steal Jenni's. Sigh. I would not have requested White Lines, but it came, so I'll try. Jenni kind of sort of did. So did Heather. *crosses fingers*

Ummm, that's not really how I feel about Catching Jordan. I think they're believable feels, but I guess it depends how you like her characters.

GET ITTTTTT! I cannot over-emphasize the beauty of that book. It's so not what the average YA book is and I lovers it.

Yeah, I'm shipping it back with free postage and they're sending me a new one. Wish it didn't have to be that way, but such is life.

Oh yeah, I think you saw that I bought this sweater, but I'd not worn it before you left. It's pretty new. I love the shiny shoulders!

DUDE, I've been telling you to read Drowning Instinct, and you should, and you will love it.

Read them all!

I am exchanging.

This is my way of getting rid of both!

I don't think I have any of those, but I will check at home and FB message you. I might have The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter in an omnibus. And Never Let Me Go looks like a cover I do have, but I think it's a different book.

I still need to send you some things, so we can trade.

Haha, it's not that bad, but I didn't want someone who didn't know me to think that I actually was planning to murder you or that Renae is actually hateful.

Truth. I've never thrown a book in good condition away, but I did throw away one of the ones they sent me.

Oh no....dang you, White Lines!

Awesome. I better love it! *is menacing*

YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT!

Ahaha, awesome vlog, Christina! I think you were too excited for Percy, he was probably saying away from your grabby hands (yes, cats are wickedly clever like that)!
Anyway, I'm not entering, but as my hubby says "you don't ask you don't get" so complain anyway. What have you got to lose?
Looking forward to your review of Keeble, this is one of the books I really want to read too! Happy reading to all of these!!!

So super awesome haul chick. I can't watch the vlog right now or I will annoy the whole house, but I am going to watch it hopefully tomorrow and maybe add to my comment. I have the first Heroes Guide book and it sounds really fun. I really like MG and have been trying to read more of it. I also loved Fang Girl. It was really fun!!

Your vlog was so fun to watch, Christina. It came across really funny I noticed the pink book in the corner right away and when you showed it, I thought it was weird too but in a nice way. I like the scribbles like text. I hope you enjoy White Lines. I just read the blurb on goodreads and it sounds really interesting. I liked the mix of books in your haul. Catching Jordan is a fun read and The Bronze Horseman series is one of my favorite series ever! Enjoy the trilogy. By the way thank you for the chance to read Midnight Sacrifice. I've read a lot of adult romance thrillers lately so I'm sort of hooked. I reader another book by her, She Can Run and really liked it. Have a great day! ~Fiery Na

I'm so excited about those. Weeee!

Ha, I hate leaving feedback, because it's always the same thing and it's SO boring. You have to leave a message and I get so tired of arrived on time and in the described condition. *snores*

Yay! I hope that book is awesome. If not, we can suffer together.

I really like the proof cover of Famous Last Words, it sucks they changed the final one! The Wanting Song looks good too. I got an ecopy of Catching Jordan but haven't got round to it yet :/ but I love Rainbow Rowell! All the feels! I think you should stand your ground and tell them off. Books are like jewels!

I would complain. I think that if there is a little damage then its not that big of a deal, but that was more than just a little damage. Even if you just want to try to straighten them, I would at least let amazon know how the book came to you. A book that I had ordered from my local indie store recently came with a few pages bent and the corners of the cover (hardback) smooshed a little. They offered to let me take the book and read it while they ordered me a new one to replace the damaged one. I told them it was ok (it wasn't super damaged) and that I could live with it how it was. Any business that values its customers should replace damaged items without the customer feeling like a bitch for wanting a replacement!

I'm really interested in White Lines AND Orleans. I've seen some mixed reviews for White Lines, so I will probably wait for a used/sale to get that one.

I own the first two of Paullina Simon's Tatiana and Alexandria books.. One day, I will get around to reading them. They sound awesome - I just get distracted!

Also: LOVE the shelves behind you. So gorgeous

I don't love either, but I prefer the proof for sure. You should read Catching Jordan. I just love Kenneally's characters. They're so true to life...which is like Rowell's!

I did get a replacement copy this past week. :)
