Barnes and Noble gift cards are the best. My new rule (now that I'm actually not working in the store) is that I'm only allowed to go in when a book I've been waiting for has come out (and like you, I only let myself buy paperbacks along with said book I've been waiting for), but no other hardcovers. And maybe it's too early for me to be a good judge, but your webcam seemed fine to me!

Oooooh wow, Christina. Great books this week. I LURVED Wildefire though not everyone does. I can't wait to read Splintered either. Anna and the French Kiss is so much fun, and I hope I can read The Name of the Star soon. I have wanted to read it since it came out!!

Can't wait to see what you think of The Hallowed Ones. The blurb does NOTHING for me but if you think it's good, I may have to try it.

Also interested in Rootless.

Ugh Splintered is so freaking gorgeous! Your webcam is just all over the place! Whoa! I have had In The Name of the Star on my Kindle forever and I really need to read it before the new one comes out. Can't wait to see what you think. I wanted to like The Hallowed Ones a lot more than I did. It became too religious for me so I ended up DNF'ing it, I hope you have better luck than me. I bought Wildefire a while back and still haven't read it! I NEED TO!

Whooo I got mentioned!

I really, really liked the first half of The Name of the Star, but then it totally changed to a different book halfway through. Not that the second half was bad, I just wasn't expected it and it totally through me off. I'll have my review up in a couple weeks when I start the blog back up. Also: I requested the sequel on NetGalley. I don't know if I'll get it, but if not I'll get it from the library.

Splintered looks SO GOOD. So good. I got that one on NetGalley too, but I'm waiting til later to read it. Can't wait though!

I'm glad I'm not the only one disappointed by The Fox Inheritance. The Adoration of Jenna Fox was amazing; I loved it so much. But it absolutely did not need a sequel. At all. And the sequel was so far removed from everything about The Adoration that I loved. I think it would have been better for Pearson to have just written a separate dystopian novel/series, instead of muddling up perfectly acceptable characters.

I enjoyed Anna, but since our tastes are only the same about 10% of the time, that probably doesn't help you AT ALL ;P

I have Splintered, Name of the Star and Wildefire on shelf to read. Splintered's cover is gorgeous!

Happy Belated Birthday BTW!

Oh man, SPLINTERED is sooooo good! I think you'll really dislike one of the characters, but I'm hoping you like the book as a whole anyway. It's one of my favorite books I've read this year, though I can't include it on a "best of 2012" list since it doesn't come out until next year. I hope you like it a lot too!!! :)

Wow, I pretty much don't buy new books at all because they're so pricy.

I know everyone doesn't love Wildefire and it makes me sad. Sometimes ranty.

Hopefully I'll get to these sometime in the near future so we can discuss. lol.

I know. What the hell is up with it? The damn thing's even new. I'm not sure what to do. Maybe I can return it to Amazon? Or try on another computer. FRUSTRATING.

OH NO! Damn. Did I spend my money unwisely?? Maybe I should return it?

Oh dear. I will be prepared for that then.

You're starting your blog back up!?!?! Woo!

The Fox Inheritance was a mess. And some things didn't make any damn sense. I don't know why she added to the series. *headdesk* Oh well, maybe this one's better?

Bahahaha, I think I'll like it. I've seen it compared to Meant to Be.

It was your review that made me buy it, but I was fighting my webcam and forgot to mention you. Oops!
