Dust of 100 Dogs YESSS. So different and dark and just - gah, it started my love affair with AS King (and I'm glad I started there, because though all of her books are very different from each other, this one is the least like the others, and I'm not sure how I would have felt if I'd gone in thinking that I knew her style, and expecting something else).

OMG I love the cover of The Death of Bees too! I almost wish I was in that tour now just so I could have that book for my shelf! I am on like 4 upcoming TLC book tours, but not that one dammit! I am still looking for my copy of An Uncommon Education. I see that you got your LAST week so I am worried, but I did join up kind of late.

Thank you so much for the lovely shout out! I wanted to get you two because I had already planned to get you Insignia, but I knew how much you wanted Do100D so I just couldn't choose! I hope you love them both. :)

Really, really great haul this week. I am super jealous. I hope you have a wonderful holiday! <3

Fantastic books, Christina, and did I tell you that I love your singing? :))) Haha, maybe I shouldn't have given up on getting my wins from giveaways? I literally won 4 in a row in September-October and never received anything... ;) Geeks, Girls and Secret Identities looks absolutely lovely so as Shadows Cast by Stars. Enjoy everything! ;)

I think I caught the flu, and now a bad headache and sore throat is strangling me. So this comment will be short. Forgive me. *bangs head on desk* GO AWAY, HEADACHE! I WANT TO READ! ARGH.

BUT I just had to comment about The Death of Bees. I received it last week as well because I'm on tour for it as well, and I agree that its cover is lovely. I think I spent five minutes just touching the letters (at first I thought the pop-up effect was just an optical illusion.) OOOO, POP-UP LETTERS!

I was considering The One I Left Behind, but let that one go in the end because the cover was scary. And the blurb was a bit too dark for my tastes.

Ah! I received an ARC of Me Before You as well! (whoever typed up the address put the wrong apartment number, so the package was left on top of the mailbox -.-) I'm not eager to start it, and probably won't get to it any time soon. Looking forward to your thoughts on it.

INK...*o* Yes, that artwork is lovely!

And I have Living Violet too! (because it was free on Amazon)

I also picked up Insignia...because Dan Wells (ARGH!!!!!!) picked it as his top YA book of the year. Why I keep doing this to myself, I will never know.

Ha, I've read that now and it's cray. It was very different, and I agree with you on this being the most odd. I wasn't really expecting anything, but I still wasn't expecting this. I really don't know entirely how I feel about this book.

Dude, it's so pretty! The title is like indented, and I was just petting it for like five minutes.

I'm not on the tour for An Uncommon Education. I got that from the publisher, so maybe the TLC books haven't gone out yet?

*HUGS*

Sometimes they never do come, but sometimes you get lucky way later. I usually don't report it, because if it's coming from the publisher, what can they do, really? I don't want to make them feel bad, and it's not like I don't already have a million books.

I KNOW. I want it to be like a manga or something, but who knows!

Oh dear! I love that this is your attempt at a short comment. :-p I hope you're over the flu by now, since I was too lazy to respond to comments over the holidays.

Yes, totally agree about the letters. I love it. I hope I love the book so I don't have to get rid of it.

Ha, I do not remember what The One I Left Behind is about, but I like dark books, so let's hope it goes well. I'll be starting that one super soon.

I like the artwork on the back better than the cover actually.

You are in love with Dan Wells. Only answer.

It was intended to be short, but I just kept blabbing...and blabbing. This is how I fill up page counts for my thesis papers.

Nope, flu is still haunting me. DAMN THIS HEADACHE. Y U NO GO AWAY?
Sometimes, I'm not sure if it's the horrible book I'm in the middle of reading that's causing the headache.

I'm about fifty pages into The Death of Bees (don't worry, this isn't the suspected headache inducing book I was referring to) and so far it's intriguing. A bit dark though. Not sure where the story is headed...*keeps reading*

I think The One I Left Behind is about a serial killer who kidnaps the girl's mom. Or something like that.
I might've been a smart choice for me to have not requested to go on tour for this one because I'm feeling emo from all these dark, emotionally heavy reads I've been reading lately.Everyone is brutally murdered! WHY DO ALL THE PEOPLE HAVE TO DIEEEE!? *depressed*

Oh, Shadows Cast By Stars' cover reminded me of Jepp, Who Defied the Stars.

But he is a balding, middle-aged man! My taste in men isn't that bad, right? *rubs eyes*

Hahaha, being long-winded and verbose really does help fill up page counts. I was always a wordy person, so that helped me through college.

Oh no! GET BETTER. I COMMAND YOU!

Oh good, I was concerned. I'm glad that one's not awful and I hope it doesn't get that way.

That sounds vaguely familiar. I've always been fascinated by serial killers. I love the dark books, but thrillers I can only read occasionally.

Maybe it is? O_O
