On My New Arrivals Shelf (55)

I got a great shipment of books in last night, but I filmed on Thursday and was too lazy to redo it, so those will be shown in next week's. Thus, small haul this week.

For Review:
The Original 1982 - Lori Carson
Black Spring - Alison Croggon
Freakboy - Kristin Elizabeth Clark

Purchased:
Second Chance Summer - Morgan Matson

I haven't seen too many reviews on Black Spring, but it sounds pretty interesting, so I'm looking forward to your thoughts. And - Second Chance Summer! Loads of people seemed to enjoy it, though it never really got my attention. Anyhow, I still hope you enjoy it. Have a lovely week, and enjoy all your new books!

Haha!! I filmed my vlog on Thursday too, but then got a whole bunch of other stuff so added on. Black Spring sounds interesting! I have Freakboy too and I have only ever listened to books written in verse, never actually read any, but it sounds great!

Fuck yeah, it's my weekly dose of Percy being adorable. :D

I got my copy of Freakboy last week and I want to dig into it already! If only I didn't have so many more urgent things in front of it. Maaaaybe I can sneak it in because it's in verse and therefore actually short...

Percy is soooo cute! My cats would never let me pick them up like that. Probably because they hate me.

I haven't read any books that are written in verse yet! I'm curious about Freakboy.

I *adored* Second Chance Summer. I'm a bit nervous to see what you think to be honest haha *bites nails* Let me know if you cry! Mwahahahaha.

Lol I wish my cat let me hold her like a baby. She's likely to claw my eyes out, she's such a shit.
Black Spring sounds intriguing, looking forward to seeing what you think! Second Chance Summer is one I might have to check out... been accumulating some nice summer reads, will have to add that to the list.
Happy Reading. :)

Percy is adorable this week as usual. I love how he lets you hold him every which way. My dog gets held like a baby often as well. She tolerates it with the same stinkeye he gave you. :D

You should have told me you wanted Second Chance Summer. I have a hardcover copy I would have let you borrow. And that's only because I haven't read it yet.

Why do I always after watching you video and up requesting some book from NetGalley? I love retellings and 'Black Spring' sounds promising.

I hope 'Freakboy' turns out to be interesting and not painful experience. I don't know why but except for 'Les Fleurs du Mal' by Charles Baudelaire I never could read whole book of poetry written by the same author. I love reading anthologies though.

And Percy can't fool me with that long suffering look, he's enjoying himself - he's just too proud to admit it. ;)

I haven't either. The GR rating is rather low, which worries me, but I'm going to go in with an open mind. Sometimes I love things others don't, so who knows.

You're such a good blogger. I thought about refilming and was just like NOPE TOO MUCH WORK. Haha.

Me too. I'm like...it's short, so I should totally just knock it out. But then people would be like WHY ARE YOU REVIEWING THIS SO EARLY, BITCH? Which doesn't super bother me, but, still, I would fall behind, so let's not deal with the drama, ya know?

Ha, there's not much Percy won't let me do to him. He knows who's boss.

I've only read one and another with some poems. So we'll see. I am branching out!

Eeeh, I'm nervous too, since I will hate myself if I branched out and bought a book by an unfamiliar author and it's awful for me.

Percy wouldn't do that to me, because he knows he would be in BIG trouble. Poor dear knows what's up.

Girl, how do you hold that giant dog like a baby? How? And you're short. I don't even understand how that is possible.

Oh, no worries. I suspect it will be one I want to own and reread someday.

Hahaha, that's awesome!

*crosses fingers* I don't like painful reading experiences.

If Percy were really unhappy, he would make that very evident. He was mildly displeased at worst. He's a pretty chill cat.

Yeah, I so wasn't going to refilm, but since I hadn't posted my video to YouTube yet, I just filmed another one and added it to my first one. Much easier. Lol!! If it had been like 2 or 3 things I wouldn't have, but it ended up being like 7 so I felt like I should. *sigh*

Perseus is gorgeous - I have a soft spot for gingers :) I love how snuggly he looks too! Ok moving on haha, nice haul too! Second Chance Summer sounds good and I'm digging that cover. I'm curious about Freakboy too. Enjoy!

I love my ginger. He's so sweet. Not the snuggliest, but he'll put up with most things. Haha.
