HOLY COW thats a LOT of books!! Great job dear!! Oh, and new follower :D
ReplyDelete- Farah @ MajiBookshelf
Thanks!
DeleteDid you read 367 books?! OMG, I'm stunned.
ReplyDeleteI sure did. And it was definitely a challenge for me. I finished the day before the end of the year.
DeleteI already knew how many you read but seeing them listed was :-0
ReplyDeleteWell done, that's a mahoosive effort!
MAHOOSIVE!!!!
DeleteYeah, for real. I know there are people who read even more than that and I cannot even begin to fathom HOW they do it.
This...is incredible. I can't imagine reading that many books in a year. I just read so slowly! lol YAY FOR FINISHING!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm a fairly quick reader, though not insanely fast, I don't think. Meh. I'm just boring and don't have much else to do, probably.
DeleteWow. Congrats on reading that many!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I made it or I would have had to try again!
DeleteOH.MY.GOD You've read ALL those books?!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! DO you still have your eyes or did they melt after all that reading? :P
Sure did!
DeleteNo melting, but I might need a stronger prescription next time I go to the eye doctor. ;)
Darn, that list is massive and detailed reviews for all of them...that is amazing! It's also nice to see some manga titles sprinkled in there, particularly Fruits Basket. :)
ReplyDeleteFRUITS BASKET! Seriously, that series is one of my favorite things to read of all time. I've read it four times, I think, and I love it more every single time.
DeleteThat series is absolutely amazing! I read it after watching the anime years ago and while the adaption hinted at a darker tone the manga really surprised me.
DeleteDo you take manga requests for Sadie Hawkins Sunday or for written books only? (I swear I'm not trying to suggest series like Skip Beat which is incredible in a different way but has been on going for 10 years and counting...)
I read the manga first, and HATE the anime. It covered pretty much just volume one of the manga, though adding in the character introduction scenes from others. It made me so mad! How do you take something so wonderful and turn it into something so cheesy and shallow?!?!
DeleteI do take manga requests, however I need to be able to get the series either from the local library or from a scanlation site online. Oh, and it needs to be finished, because I learned long ago it was a waste of time for me to read manga before they finish. I know I'm going to have to reread all of Skip Beat! when it finally concludes, because my memory sucks. But, yes, would love manga reccs within those qualifications!
Shoujo manga rarely get faithful adaptions. It sucks that those otome games turned anime get multiple seasons while a series like this gets minced to fit into a 20-ish episode frame. :( But I'm still grateful for it because it led me to discover the series I otherwise would have ignored (the tween year old me was very very picky about manga art lol)
DeleteThe few I have in mind are completed and fully available online. :)
True. I love shoujo manga, but I don't think I've been a huge fan of any of the shoujo animes I've seen.
DeleteOoh, yeah, the art in this one I don't super love at the beginning, but I think it matures with the characters. Kyo, MY LOVE!
im stunned
